Call for Volunteers: STEM Kit 'Robotics Unleashed'
We are thrilled to announce our 3rd STEM Kit Event, and we need YOUR help to make it a success! This exciting one-day event brings together high school Girl Scouts from across Southeast Michigan for a hands-on day of robotics, engineering, and empowering conversation. We are especially looking for women in STEM who would be willing to share their career stories with the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators. And, if you cannot join us personally, please share this opportunity widely within your network.

• Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026
• Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Location: Velocity, Sterling Heights
How You Can Help
We are looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:
🤖 Lego Robotics Facilitators (6 needed) — 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Join us for the full day (or as many hours as you can spare!) to work alongside high school Girl Scouts as they build and program Lego robots. No robotics experience required — just enthusiasm, patience, and a love of STEM!
HER Story Panel — Starting 12:30 PM
Be part of the HERStory panel with Telva McGruder, Executive Director, Global Body Manufacturing Engineering, General Motors and
• 1 Moderator to guide the conversation
• At least 5 Panelists willing to share their experiences as women working in STEM fields. Panelists are welcome (and encouraged!) to also serve as Lego Robotics Facilitators earlier in the day
