How to Apply

  

The Automotive Women's Alliance Foundation (AWAF) is dedicated to supporting the advancement of women in the automotive and mobility sectors. If you are interested, we offer an online application process for scholarship submissions. Please review our scholarship guidelines and ensure that you have all required documents ready for upload when completing your application.

 

Step 1:  Education Scholarship Guidelines 

1.     Applicants must be accepted to a college or university

2.     Applicants must have and maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA during a scholarship-funded semester

3.     If an applicant cannot accept the scholarship or if education is interrupted, the status of funds will be reviewed by the AWAF Scholarship Committee

4.     The scholarship funds awarded will be valid at the college or university to be used toward tuition and fees.

5.     The scholarship check will be awarded in the name of the applicant, student ID#, and the educational institution.

6.     Scholarship awards will be chosen by application.  The AWAF Scholarship Committee may conduct interviews.

7.     Applicant must give written or electronic notification of acceptance within five (5) days of award notification.

8.     This scholarship is open to North American citizens.

This application and any scholarship award are subject to the terms and conditions set forth on AWA Foundation’s website, which may be updated from time to time.  AWA Foundation Board of Directors administers the Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF) Scholarship program. The AWAF is a national non-profit 501c3 registered service organization. Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, creed, religion, or national origin.  AWA Foundation thanks you for your interest in this scholarship.       

                       

Step 2:  Application and Required Documents for Submission

 

Complete the online scholarship application and prepare to upload the required documents in the formats (PDF, PNG, JPG).

Documents must be legible, and individual files must be limited to less than 5MB.  Also, please convert Word documents to PDF.

Please rename each of your documents with your Last Name, First Name, and description. 
Examples: Doe_Jane_cover letter;  Doe_Jane_resume;  Doe_Jane_ transcript;  Doe_Jane_other

 

·         Cover letter: One page detailing your career aspirations in automotive/mobility

·         Resume: Include education, work experience, and activities (max. 2 pages)

·         Academic Transcript: High school transcript for seniors, and current/last college transcript for others

·         Acceptance letter to college – Required for high school seniors or college transfer students not yet enrolled

·         Optional:  recommendation letter(s), other noteworthy items (combine into one file)

    After submitting your documents, wait a few seconds and you will receive an AWAF screen confirmation for a successful upload.
