    OUR MISSION    To advance and empower women in the automotive and related industries

    JOIN OUR VISION    Help create and sustain a diverse automotive industry, optimized by empowered women

    EVOLVING AND ACCELERATING    As of August 2020, AWAF awarded $464,500 in scholarships to 187 women pursuing careers in the automotive and mobility industry.  We are a 501(c)3 non-profit with more than 230 members from all areas of the industry, at all career levels, working to support one another and other women through fundraising for scholarships and opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and to support STEM initiatives.  We welcome new members and sponsors to accelerate our mission and vision.  Get to know us through social and informative events like the Fireside Chat, Pumps and Power, Professional Development Training, Virtual Happy Hour, and the annual August golf outing.  Proceeds from events, including our flagship annual golf outing, go toward scholarships to women studying to enter or further their career in the automotive and related fields.

    2001: Automotive Women’s Alliance Incorporated was formed; purpose to focus largely on a scholarship program to support
    the future women of the automotive industry

    2002: Automotive Women’s Alliance became a Foundation (AWAF), and achieved non-profit status
    2016: A record year of awarding 24 scholarships

    2017: Three-time scholarship recipient joins board of directors

    2018: We are energized to build alliances, grow membership and attract sponsors to continue this progress and momentum

    2019: Implemented AWAF Awards for Industry Achievement, Emerging Leader and Change Champion
              Implemented STEM initiatives to support the educational experience with secondary schools, higher learning institutions,
    automotive OEM's and related industries . . . we are here to inspire females to seek STEM related future careers!
