Alyse is a junior at Wayne State University, Detroit MI studying mechanical engineering and holds another degree from Michigan State University in Environmental Biology/Microbiology.   It was at MSU where Alyse discovered her passion for sustainability and energy resources.  Knowing that she would need further education to make a positive difference, Alyse returned to school.  Wanting a greater challenge that would make use of her creativity and problem solving skills, Alyse decided to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.  At WSU, she joined the EcoCAR2 team which is a design competition that challenges students to re-engineer a vehicle in order to reduce its environmental impact without compromising consumer acceptability and safety.  Alyse has found passion and purpose in sustainable transportation technologies.  After finishing her first year at WSU, Alyse spent the summer working at Yazaki North America where she is a mechanical engineering intern in the electronics instrumentation unit.  Alyse’s hometown is Huntington Woods, MI.
