Ms. Amanda Lockwood

Amanda will be beginning Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colorado and will major in the Automotive Industry Management Program. She is currently enrolled at Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado. Amanda found her passion for automotive repair and automotive repair education early in high school, when she took a basic auto repair class. She has gone on to win numerous awards for rebuilding engines, fine-tuning engine performance, and service work performed on braking systems, steering, suspension, and more. She is Co-President of the SkillsUSA-VICA and active in Automotive Education Systems. She wants to work in Dealer Service and support and help improve automotive technical education for high school students. AWA is proud to support Amanda's interest in automotive repair and service. Over 65% of service visits are by women consumers, and not nearly that same percentage of repair techs and service advisors are women.
