Ms. Lisa Hutto

Ms. Lisa Hutto is a candidate at the Focus: HOPE Center for Advanced Technologies where she works in a manufacturing facility full time and attends engineering courses. She recently graduated from Lawrence Technological University with an Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and is currently working toward her Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Wayne State University, which she anticipates receiving in December of 2006. She has been on the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement for three consecutive semesters. 

Lisa grew up in Orlando, Florida and is currently living in Detroit, Michigan with her son Lamont. Lisa is actively involved in both the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the National Society of Black Engineers. Lisa also volunteers as a math tutor at the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, Shelter for Women and Children. Lisa is looking forward to starting her career as a quality engineer. She plans to further her education by obtaining a Masters Degree in her field and hopes to be a mentor and guide to other aspiring engineers.
