Ms. Lauren Edgerton

Scholarship Courtesy of AutoMart.com. Lauren enters Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Engineering as freshmen in the fall of 2008. She chose home-schooling beginning in the tenth grade and enrolled in undergraduate courses at Richard Bland College of William and Mary Virginia. A professor writes, "In addition to her academic ability, Lauren has the best extracurricular preparation for her major of any student I have had in my twenty-nine years of teaching mathematics, physics and computer science." Lauren is an avid automotive enthusiast winning the Hard Charger Award (driver competing the most passes) at Langley Speedway in 2007, first place win at Southside Speedway, August 2007, and is currently rebuilding two Chevy Cavaliers for race events. She plans to pursue a career in the automotive or motor sports industry utilizing her mechanical engineering education and experience. Lauren resides in Petersburg, VA.
