Mindy is a junior at Montana State University, Bozeman, MT studying mechanical engineering. Her passion for the automotive industry began as soon as she could walk, being with her father who raced circle track cars and owned auto repair shops, to her getting behind the wheel at 11 years old to race in the quarter midget at 45 mph. She raced for ten years in various series and wrenched on the cars too!
Mindy recently interned at General Motors, Pontiac, MI in powertrain service engineering to assist with validation of spray weld technology, and warranty data analysis. She is the 2016 fiscal year president of the local Society of Women Engineers (SWE) chapter, and was elected to serve at a SWE Future Leader and elected Regional Collegiate Senator, mentors freshman and sophomore students at MSU’s College of Engineering and works full time while attending university. Her hometown is Molt Montana. The scholarship was sponsored by Ricardo Inc.
