Nicole Stout

Nicole is a junior attending Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) studying motorsports engineering.  She decided at the age of six she wanted to be involved in racing. It all began with racing in the All-American Soap Box Derby at age eight and building her first car with her father.  She accumulated over fifty first place finishes, qualified for seven national championships, and earned the title of second in the world.  

Nicole has un-waivered since childhood in pursuit of a career in motorsports.  She has held internships with IndyCar and The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where she gained application experience in vehicle dynamics and tire engineering.   She is an ambassador for the Purdue School of Engineering, a mentor for the Women in Engineering Network program, and participated in a Motorsports Study Abroad Program in Germany.  Nicole’s hometown is Sagamore Hills, Ohio.  The scholarship was sponsored by Ricardo Inc.
