Amy Allison is an Engine Calibration Specialist for the light-duty trucks and SUVs at General Motors. In her role, Amy is responsible for the control of spark timing and dilution for all V8 engines used in light-duty applications. Previously, Amy was an Engineering Co-op at IAV Automotive Engineering Inc. where she worked on powertrain development projects for Chrysler and Volkswagen in Michigan and abroad.
Amy Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kettering University in December 2015 with her degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Automotive Specialty. Upon graduation, Amy was awarded the prestigious honor of Sobey Scholar and President’s Medalist, which less 1%of graduates achieve.
Amy first became a part of AWAF in early 2012 as a Scholarship Recipient when she was only a Sophomore in college. She says without the 3 scholarships she was generously awarded from AWAF, her automotive career aspirations would not have come to fruition. Amy believes that AWAF is the best platform for the advancement of women in the automotive industry and she is honored to serve AWAF as Sponsorship Co-Chair.
