Catherine Koch, Founder and President of K-Tec Systems began her career in 1980. Cathy studied business and marketing from the University of Cincinnati then moved to Southeast Michigan where she got her start in the industry.
She worked in all facets of the temperature instrumentation field and was involved in business administration, customer service, purchasing, sales and supplier management, gaining an extensive knowledge of high tech products and services.
In March 1989 Cathy started her own business K-Temp Control Systems.
On June 1, 2000, Cathy was recognized by the State of Michigan for her success as a small, woman-owned business on Entrepreneurship Action Day. She had also completed all of the requirements of the Tuck-WBENC Executive Program from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in Palisades, New York.
In 2004 K-Temp became K-Tec in recognition of the expansion to providing not only roots and Cathy’s vision, K-Tec continues to grow and offers advanced technology, manufacturing, procurement and service to many industries requiring temperature control and automation. Cathy continually exceeded her customer’s expectations with her demand for high quality product, excellent service and a serious drive for success.
Cathy has been a gold member with AWAF for two years now and is a staunch supporter of advancing women in automotive. She was featured in DBusiness magazine's feature on the power of business women in the Metro Detroit area.
