Kim Ziomek

Kimberly (Kim) A. Ziomek, is formerly the Sr. Account Manager, Panasonic Automotive Systems of America.  In this role, she was responsible for global sales and program management of the Panasonic business at General Motors for automotive speakers, switches, Back Up Battery (BUB) and active noise cancellation (ANC).  This encompasses both production and service to General Motors.  Additionally, coordinate and manage all aspects of sales, RFQ process from GM and internal to Panasonic, engineering issues and changes, scheduling, forecasting, and launch. 

Kim has over 20+ years of working with various automotive and service provider suppliers in the sales capacity.  Ziomek is also currently the Secretary of Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation, a non-profit, volunteer organization. As Secretary, she provides record keeping and leadership to enable the organizations effectiveness, counsel to the board’s direction and aligns the board to the AWAF executive advisory council input. Kim also co-oversees the annual golf outing team efforts, which is the organizations major fundraiser.

Ziomek has a Masters of Business & Administration, Lawrence Technological University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Oakland University with a Major in Marketing including two years of Electrical Engineering. She also attended Schoolcraft College while maintaining her senior year high school curriculum. Her C-suite contacts and her ability to dialogue on “dual ladder” i.e. technical and commercial is due to her diverse background and participation in many professional organizations.

 

Kim is has participated in the following professional activities and organizations. Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation; SAE/Convergence: biennial Conference on International Congress on Transportation Electronics; Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit - 2009 Executive Leadership Award Gala Lead, Society of Automotive Engineers - Detroit Section; Clinton Valley Council Boy Scouts - Annual Rally for the Scouts and in 2000, she was awarded one of Automotive News - Top 100 Leading Women in Automotive Industry Award.  She is a certified Mentor and Career Counselor and enjoys “giving back” to young men and women who are in or entering into the automotive sector to foster a career.
