General Motors, recent retiree
Jane Bishop recently retired from General Motors in Warren, Michigan. She had the responsibility to lead the Plan for Every Part (PFEP); the component packaging plans for all of its’ N.A. assembly and powertrain plants and is a global container representative for policy and procedure improvements affecting suppliers and GM assembly plants at regional and global locations.
She had 30+ years in automotive, working for major Tier 1 suppliers of plastics, stampings, safety restraints, rubber sealing and returnable container pooling. Her work experience includes assignments and or leadership positions in purchasing, strategic planning, operations, program management, global account management and global business development.
Jane holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Central Michigan University. She is a proud mentor volunteer of university students for the past 20 years. Jane is married to David and they reside in Troy, Michigan.
