Linda Taliaferro is vice president, Global Quality for Meritor, Inc. She is responsible for quality oversight at 28 Meritor sites in 18 countries on five continents.
Before assuming her current role in November 2014, Taliaferro was director, Global Quality, Environmental Health and Safety for Littelfuse, Inc. Her responsibilities included more than 17 manufacturing, sales and engineering facilities in North America and Asia and a global network of distribution channels.
Prior to that, Taliaferro was director, Ford North America Advanced Quality for Johnson Controls, Inc. She also held positions of increasing responsibility within Hayes Lemmerz, Inc., which is now Maxion Wheels, rising to global director responsible for 17 wheel facilities. Taliaferro has also worked within operations, quality and supplier development at Bosch, BMW and Detroit Diesel Corp. throughout her 30-year career.
She earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a master of business administration from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
Taliaferro is president of the Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation, effective Jan. 1, 2017. Other memberships include the American Society for Quality, Inforum Women’s Professional Alliance and Women in Manufacturing.
